Welcome to our Website

Welcome to the Sherwood Park Primary School website.  We hope that as well as being informative the website will provide you with a flavour of the school, our ethos and values as well as providing us with the opportunity to share with you some of the work and achievements of our children.

Sherwood Park is a welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school with a Nursery and forms part of the Penhill Academy Trust comprising of: Blackfen Girls School, Hurstmere School for boys, Bexley Grammar School and Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School.

Here at Sherwood Park we have an excellent reputation and an ethos of hard work, respect and fairness. Our aim is to provide a curriculum that is both challenging and nurturing, which will prepare young people on their journey through education and develop in them a passion for learning.

If you are not already part of the Sherwood Park Community we look forward to meeting with you at one of our open days and forging the strong home and school partnership which will enable your child to make amazing progress, life-long friends and be part of the success story that continues to unfold at Sherwood Park Primary School.

Changes to the end of the day collection-Year 5 classes
Dear Mums, Dads and Carers, We have made changes to the end of day pick up routine for children in Year 5. From Monday 24th September, all Year 5 children will be collected on the Year 5 and 6 playground, which is situated closest to the Sherwood Park Avenue entrance. By using both junior playgrounds this will allow more space and will ensure children can be collected quickly and safely at what is a very busy time. Children in Years 3, 4 and 6 will continue to be collected from the playground nearest the school office as per usual. Thank you for your understanding Mr Mann
