Reception Baseline Assessment
Please see this booklet for parents which tells you more information about the government's Reception Baseline Assessment (RBA) which happen within the first 6 weeks of your child starting at school.

Transition Timetable for Reception 2025
Welcome meeting for all new Reception parents: Tuesday 10th June at 9:00am
Home visits for children new to Sherwood Park: Wednesday 2nd July and Thursday 3rd July
(Parents/Carers to return paperwork to Reception staff)
Transition sessions for children new to Sherwood Park:
Tuesday 15th July 1:30pm- 2:30pm and Thursday 17th July 1:30pm- 2:30pm
Transition sessions for children attending Sherwood Park Nursery will take place during the week beginning Monday 14th July.
September 2025
Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd September: Children attend 8:30am – 11:00am
Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th September: Children attend 8.30am – 1:15pm
Friday 5th September: Children attend all day (Usual hours)
Monday 8th September onwards: Children attend all day (Usual hours)
