Reading Workshops

Miss Trevillion is holding a workshop for parents and carers of Year 2 to Year 6 children on how to support reading at home.  Workshops take place on Tuesday 10th January 2017 at 4pm and then again at 6:30pm.  There will be helpful tips and suggestions on how to boost children's enjoyment of reading and how to get the most out of your time sharing a book together.  If you have not sent a slip into school to inform us of your attendance please call the school office and let them know which meeting you will be attending.

EYFS 'Forest School' Parent Workshop

Mrs Aburrow held a meeting for our Early Years parents to introduce the principles of our Forest School.  Parents had the opportunity to sign up for a 'taster' workshop which took place on Friday 4th November.  Our volunteers experienced what happens in a Forest session.  They discovered the Forest School area, played games, used tools, built a shelter and even got a cup of hot chocolate! Everyone enjoyed the session and many parents have signed up to be volunteers on Wednesdays and Thursdays to help with Nursery and Reception Forest sessions.

Please contact Mrs Aburrow through the school office for more information.
