UNICEF's Rights Respecting Schools

Sherwood Park Primary has signed up to become a UNICEF UK ‘Rights Respecting School’. Sherwood Park strives to be a school where children’s rights are at the heart of our culture and ethos. We want to improve our children’s emotional well-being and develop every child’s talents and abilities so that they can reach their full potential. As part of this work we are working towards recognition as a ‘Rights Respecting School’, an award given to schools on behalf of UNICEF UK.

Please click on the image to the left to find out more and keep an eye on school PING and this area of the website for updates and news on our award.

Great news! We have achieved the Bronze Award after only a few weeks into our project. Mrs Olenka and the RRS School Council have done brilliantly. Well done everyone. We look forward to more updates as we aim for the Silver Award!

Class Charters

As part of our commitment to being a Rights Respecting School, each class has worked with their teacher to create their very own class charter.  After discussing the Articles, we picked those which were most important to us to explore and include in our charters.  Our class charters are a way of ensuring that we work together to ensure everyone is able to enjoy their rights.
